Substitution Policy

We Hate to Do It, But Sometimes We Must...

Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet. This can be a result of many factors including:

1. Availability - our flowers are shipped from many different countries and can be held up in customs or just plain unavailable because of weather conditions - heat, cold, ice, snow, rains & floods, droughts, or pests.

2. Quality - flowers are perishable and sometime arrive in bad shape due to circumstances beyond our control - lost on a hot dock somewhere, packed with too much moisture in the box, too old for use, cut too early and not flowered to the proper stage for use. We never want to use flowers in your bouquet that might disappoint you!

3. Sometimes we order things and they don't arrive when promised.

We receive flower shipments 5 days a week, sometimes several times a day. We have a truck that comes 4 days a week. We can generally accomodate your request, but some flowers are "special order" (especially tropical flowers, orchids, gardenias, unusual rose colors, stephanotis) and require several days lead time. We are happy to order them for you, but please allow plenty of time.

Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value.

Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays.  We try to have plenty on hand and keep our website up to date with "in-stock" items, but with our diverse and sometimes "just a few of a kind" inventory and our "same day" delivery sometimes we just run out of items. If a substitution is required, we will select a very similar item of the same or greater value.

In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
